The Matheny Medical and Educational Center is dedicated to helping children and adults with medically complex developmental disabilities achieve the highest quality of life possible. These complex disabilities include cerebral palsy, spina bifida, Lesch-Nyhan disease, and a range of associated clinical conditions that affect every single aspect of these individuals' lives. Located in Peapack, New Jersey the Matheny facilities include a Joint Commission Accredited hospital, a Middle States Accredited special education school, a Community Services program which includes early evaluation and early intervention services, and most notably, The Center of Medicine and Dentistry which provides specialized medical, dental, and therapy services to children and adults with complex developmental disabilities on an inpatient basis. In addition, the Center offers outpatient care to meet the healthcare needs of people with all types of disabilities who live in communities throughout New Jersey. Staffed by an elite team of specially trained physicians, dentists, therapists, nurses, and rehab technicians, Matheny’s CMD is unique in that it provides these outpatient services all under one roof. For 65 years, Matheny has been providing the most vulnerable children and adults in our society with professional care and loving attention. In fact, no other entity in New Jersey offers the range of programs and services in one setting, focused only on children and adults with medically complex developmental disabilities. Without access to Matheny, many patients and their families would be isolated, without a community to share strengths, hope and friendships. While you are not required to fundraise in order to participate in Miles for Matheny, we encourage you to go that extra mile and help us raise funds for The Center of Medicine and Dentistry by reaching out to family, friends, and co-workers to sponsor your participation. It’s easy to do online at www.milesformatheny.org. Matheny is a registered 501(c) (3) nonprofit
organization. All funds raised at Miles for Matheny will be used to support
the Center of Medicine and Dentistry, WHATS SO SPECIAL?
