THE EVENT

Choices, Choices, Choices..... What a Weekend.... Musicfest, Kids Kingdom, a 5K Run and a 2 Mile Walk. Take your pick! Our location is the beautifully scenic Oak Ridge Park in Clark, Union County's newest family showcase. Oak Ridge is the perfect racing venue.

Musicfest, with a varied array of great acts, will take place on Friday, September 16 and Saturday, September 17. The Union County Fair, which runs from Wednesday through Sunday features a variety of fun. There will be wonderful activities for all family members, including the 4th Annual 5K Run. Last year's run attracted over 500 runners. The course is mostly within the Park and features wide paved trails that are mostly flat with some rolling areas. The 2 Mile Walk will take place wholly within the Park as will Kids Kingdom, a spectacular fun event.......

The 5K Run will feature mile clocks, two water stops and D-Tag scoring by Compuscore. Runners and walkers will be treated to first class amenities including the Rock On custom T-shirt, super refreshments, prizes and Music, Music, Music!

So treat your family to a fun filled weekend, and join us for the Rock n' Run 5K....................
Oak Ridge Park is very easy to find via the Parkway or local roads.

DIRECTIONS:
Garden State Parkway Northbound: Exit 135. Stay to right. Left at light onto Westfield Avenue. Right at light onto Madison Hill Road. At the light, make a left onto Raritan Road. Go through one traffic light. Oak Ridge Park is on your right.

Garden State Parkway Southbound: Exit 135. Bear right off of exit onto Central Avenue. Left at light onto Raritan Road. Go through 4 lights. Oak Ridge park will be on your right.

From Lake Avenue ( Rahway ): Head west. Left turn onto Oak Ridge Road. Park is on right.

From Lake Avenue ( Scotch Plains ): Head east. Right turn onto Oak Ridge Road. Park is on right.

The Love Hope Strength Foundation--Love Hope Strength is an international charity with chapters in the United States, United Kingdom, Australia and South America dedicated to providing all cancer patients with access to information, quality cancer treatment, and the best medication available. Through innovative, music related, outreach and awareness programs such as Union County MusicFest, Everest Rocks and Peru Rocks, LHS provides critical funding for cancer centers worldwide. Co- Founded by two-time cancer survivor Mike Peters of the Welsh rock band, The Alarm, and leukemia survivor and President of CSI Entertainment, James Chippendale, the Foundation supplies much needed testing and treatment equipment to cancer centers around the world. The Valerie Fund--The Valerie Fund is a local not-for-profit organization established in 1976 in memory of Valerie Goldstein by her parents. The Valerie Fund's mission is to provide support for the comprehensive health care of children with cancer and blood disorders. With its origins in New Jersey, today there are seven Valerie Fund Children's Centers for Cancer and Blood Disorders in major hospitals in the tri-state area, providing caring and comprehensive health care to approximately 5,000 children and their families each year.
